Baker Family Chimney Contractors works out of Fillmore, in the part of Ventura County people call the Heritage Valley. Our days run along Highway 126 to Santa Paula, over to Moorpark and Simi Valley, and out to Ojai and Ventura when a neighbor there calls.
A lot of the houses on that route are older than anyone living in them, and so are their chimneys. Brick laid long before modern seismic rules, crowns that have baked through a hundred summers, dampers that stopped closing right long ago. We take our time with those, because rushing an old chimney is how problems get missed.
