Learn MoreA Baker family visit in Artesia
We come to Artesia from Fillmore, look over the whole chimney, and explain what we found before anything else happens.
The Houses
In Artesia we mostly see stucco walls, composition or tile overhead, and brick or block stacks from the 1950s and 1960s.
Weather and Season
The Long Beach quake of 1933 hurt unreinforced masonry all over this end of the county, and winter rain still tests crowns and flashing today. On dry, gusty fall days, a badly fastened cap can work itself loose, so we give it a firm tug.
Same Drive
La Palma, Norwalk, Cerritos sit on the same stretch of road, so a visit there often shares the day with Artesia.
The Report
You get photos and a plain-language write-up of your Artesia chimney before any repair is planned.
