The Houses
In Avalon we mostly see narrow-lot cottages from Avalon's early decades, Spanish Revival details and Catalina tile, and attached homes.
Weather and Season
Fog and damp sea air hang over the harbor, which is hard on metal caps and slow to let masonry dry. The Island Fire of 2007 forced evacuations too, so an ember-proof screen is worth having on any working Catalina chimney.
Same Drive
Dana Point, Pebbly Beach, Descanso Beach sit on the same stretch of road, so a visit there often shares the day with Avalon.
The Report
You get photos and a plain-language write-up of your Avalon chimney before any repair is planned.
